WILDEBEESTE MIGRATION SEASON - JULY - SEPTEMBER
The Great Wildebeest Migration is one of the greatest world spectacle that happens each year without fail. The spectacle Comprises of over 1.5 million herbivores (wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes) migrating from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya via the Mara River. LION SEASON – JANUARY TO MARCH
During this month there is a lot of sunshine and it’s a perfect travel season for people who are keen to enjoy Maasai Mara and Kenya’s “summer”. Between January – March a lot of the herbivores (Wildebeest, Zebras, Buffaloes and Antelopes) give birth to their young ones and Maasai Mara is usually dotted with mothers suckling their young ones. GREEN SEASON – APRIL TO JUNE

During this period the Reserve receives a lot of rain fall and the vegetation is usually very green. WILDLIFE SEASON - OCTOBER TO NOVEMBER
During this period the Wildebeest starts migrating southwards to Serengeti National park having completed their mating season in Kenya. Serengeti will be their home till the next migration, Serengeti acts their maternity as its from here that they will give birth and look after their young ones. October – December the grass is shorter after the wildebeests feasting. The short rains accelerate the sprouting of grass, this season is also called the shoulder season and prices are relatively discounted.
